Velvet Romance

February 22, 2017 by Kaloni King

Lately, I have been very keen to the feel of fabrics, I mean, I have always had an eye for quality, however, I really want to feel good in the garment I am wearing,  and velvet does just that. This one has a bit of stretch for comfort, so it feels comfortable and luxurious. I love it!

I paired this rich navy with black fishnets, which are currently on trend, although, I always have a pair of fishnets on hand. They are definitely the sexiest tights around. They go with almost anything because they just add character to any outfit. Depending, on how they are styled, they can be very unexpected as well. I kept it classy and simple, paired it with my hair booties and textured winter white coat for depth.

Thanks for stopping by,

Kaloni

Shining Bright

January 12, 2017 by Kaloni King

The sparkle in this dress literally gives me life! Normally, I'm not a 'shimmer' fan, however, I decided to try it out...ok, so I basically LOVE this dress now...

I decided to do a style video to show the movement in this outfit. 'Shimmery' fun! This dress was perfect for NYE. I added a funky element, this patterned clutch and the winter white coat adds more and texture. Not to mention is gorgeous. It's an old find that I got when I was in Ghana. I sort of wanted to change it up a bit and add something unexpected. This year I want to take more risks with my fashion sense. Trends are fun too...but, I may not always experiment with them if I don't like them. LOL!

Shades of Twilight

November 20, 2016 by Kaloni King

In the world we are living in today, it feels much for me like I am living in "twilight". So much beauty that is masked by pure darkness. Beauty is difficult to see or focus on because so many forces are working tirelessly to keep it hidden. The kind of beauty I speak of, non-superficial, good hearts, nature, and selfless acts of kindness to all people. Where do we go from here? What do we do? For many of us, the solution varies. I want to live in a better world, and I have realized I have not done enough. In spite of so many distractions, I am working to learn to also focus on what actually makes a difference. Honestly, I'm not even certain exactly how to start. How does one escape "twilight"?

Thank you for stopping by,

Kaloni
