Ethereal Stripes

December 17, 2015 by Kaloni King

Most often I dress according to my mood or the mood I want to be in. For me, the way I dress my body often reflects my inner self. I have seen many black and white ensembles that I felt were just gorgeous; however, somehow, they just were not me.  I would see this black-and-white on so many women and think, wow, they look good. Then, when I would try to wear it, meh. LOL! Then, this dress happened. I bought it immediately!  As soon as I saw it was perfect for me.  This black and white is just perfect, elegant and daring at the same time. I absolutely LOVE this dress! I paired it with these gold boots for an edgy look. Now, I'm trying to figure out if these would be too much for work! Haha!

Dress: Eloquii; Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell; Sunglasses: vintage store.

Bomber Cool

December 01, 2015 by Kaloni King

Sorry for the late post guys! I was feeling a bit under the weather and I was busy with the holiday. This ensemble reflects what a casual outfit actually looks like for me. When I want to just wear a pair of jeans and a top, this is something I often wear. I have had to stop myself from wearing these d'orsay flats regularly, because I LOVE them, but, I want them to last! The wine color is so perfect for fall. Jeans are not typically something I wear, simply because it's so hard to find a pair that actually fits. I had to get these tailored. Sometimes, if you want the perfect fit, that's the route you have to take.

Jeans: Old Navy; Top: Nordstrom (similar here); Jacket: Violeta by Mango (similar here); Clutch: street vendor in Ghana; Shoes: Charles David (sold out; similar here)

Lacey Monochrome

November 19, 2015 by Kaloni King

Lace has always attracted me, yet I didn't know how to wear it. I felt like it was too something, I actually wasn't even sure...lol. In my life, I have had so many reservations, so many things I would not even wear, can you imagine?! Honestly, I wish I had the audacity to wear exactly what I wanted long before now. There would have been far less longing moments...lol. Wishing I could have pulled off this or that. The irony, my style if not even considered romantic! I say screw the rules!
